A little about us

Our approach comes from both of us having worked within the Hospitality and Tourism Industry for nearly 30 years. Our strength is our combined experience and skills, while Presley focuses on the sourcing of produce and creation of dishes, Catherine helps with the planning and running the front of house, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Having spent many years developing my culinary skills in all areas of the kitchen and in all types of establishments; small hotels, chateaux and restaurants, event catering and I was lucky enough to be part of the catering team at the London Olympics. Catherine worked within Tourism supporting businesses to drive up quality standards and levels of customer service while managing a number of successful marketing partnerships specialising in the digital side of things.

So we know how important it is to a provide high quality, professional and reliable service. Listening to the needs of our clients, then ensuring we not only deliver but exceed their expectations.

In 2010, a new beginning faced us in more ways than one, with our children grown up we needed an adventure to fill the hole they had left.  We were looking to do something that combined our skills and knowledge that enabled us to make the most of our new lease of life. Within the year, we were picking up the keys to our rundown French Farmhouse in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne countryside.

Many thought we were mad, but we knew the Dordogne was the ideal place to set up a catering company. On our doorstep we have access to local produce including duck, foie gras and walnuts, fabulous French wine, an array of local markets, excellent suppliers and enchanting unique venues.

And so it began, in 2012 we catered for a handful of weddings and events at local Chateaux and private homes; we invested in more equipment, met some amazing people and things have flourished from there, The Event Kitchen was created and we have not looked back
